The reception desk, shop and first aid post are situated together within the main building which is on the left as you drive in (open 8.30am – 5.30pm). On arrival, please park in the carpark and come into reception to check-in; there is access into all areas of the main building for wheelchairs along firm pathways.
The shop, which has an off-licence, supplies most basic foodstuffs, toiletries, home-made produce and fresh bread; hot croissants and papers can be ordered in the afternoon, to be collected at reception the following morning . We also stock sweets, drinks, ice-cream, gas, caravan accessories, maps, stamps and local crafts. There is wifi available on all pitches and a token operated laundry system, please ask at reception.
In a separate wooden building next to reception you will find a large map of the area along with a wealth of information on local attractions & places to visit etc as well as a selection of books and videos to rent.
We welcome functions & rallies too!
Barney’s Restaurant & Bar
We have refurbished the restaurant and bar area and we look forward to welcoming you to eat and drink with us from Easter onwards. Barney’s restaurant (with take-away facility) and bar will be open on selected nights of the week (3-4), offering fresh, local produce wherever possible. If you’d like to eat in the evening, please book a table at reception or give us a ring.
The park has 3 washroom facilities, two of which are recently refurbished to the highest standards (Heydon’s Meadow and Second Block on the lower part of the park), featuring underfloor heating, showers, toilets, washbasins, hand and hair dryers and free hot water throughout the day.
Main Building: The showers are large, free and untimed. They feature underfloor heating in the dry changing areas, with full central heating when required. The washbasins have their own individual curtained cubicles with mirrors, hooks and shelving. The ladies’ area has a baby bath and changing facility, hot air hand dryer and hair dryer. In addition, the gentleman’s area has razor points. Our purpose-built washroom for those with special needs has a RADAR lock and is large enough to accommodate helpers. The design of the room includes a number of handrails and grab handles. It is equipped with a low washbasin, low/raised toilet, full-length mirror and an alarm bell. The shower is extra-sized with a mobile seat and fully adjustable temperature controlled shower head.
